We've just added a matrix content element to Workflows. This lets you create a question with a matrix (or grid) for the answers.  You can see an example below.

Example of a Question in a Malcolm! Workflow using the Matrix content element

In the example above each row is a question, and the user chooses their answer/option by choosing one of the values available to them in the columns.

This a popular use of matrixes and you've probably seen this sort of thing in surveys that you've completed in the past.

As you'd expect with Malcolm! everything is configurable - you can choose the number of rows and columns, as well as enabling options such as allowing more than one answer per row to be selected plus all the usual options like being able to set default values and/or edit the validation messages.

Click on the matrix element to see all the options once you've added it to your page in the Workflow builder.

Setting up a matrix element in the MyMalcolm Workflow builder

As you probably know Malcolm! Workflows can also be surfaced as widgets, overlays and inline embeds and the matrix element will work in those formats although a horizontal scrollbar may appear if the content is wider than the format allows.

We hope you like this feature! If you have any questions don't hesitate to open a ticket.
